My trip to the desert yesterday yielded lots of treasures - 100’s of vintage mags added to the archive
Great day spent at the Vintage Fashion Expo in Santa Monica
(Me with Susie of Vintazia Vintage)
Today I got a call from a man who’s family was in the magazine/book business since the 1940’s. From the sounds of it he has 1000’s of vintage magazines in amazing condition from 1900 through the 1970’s. (As you can imagine I’m freaking out) It seems he is selling this collection because his daughter, a single mother of 3 has pancreatic cancer and no insurance. He needs to raise money quickly for her care. Sadly I am not in a financial position to buy much, times being what they are. I am always trying to add new things to the archive this is an amazing opportunity to do just that. Thanks as always for following and for your support of myvintagevogue.com http://myvintagevogue.com/donate.html

My least favorite question that I seem to get asked regularly is do I sell the clothes pictured on the site. The answer is no http://myvintagevogue.com/ is an archive of fashion photography and advertising but there are some great vintage sellers listed on the links page on the website.
I’m so looking forward to the Vintage Fashion Expo this weekend at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium April 27th & 28th, 2013 info @ http://www.vintageexpo.com
